Japan, Guam and Kwajalien Atoll

One week after Christmas 2004 I left the cold Denver climate and headed to Japan, Guam and Kwajalien Atoll to tour US Military bases with Katherine Dines and the Hunk-Ta-Bunk-Ta Band for 3 weeks! Of couse when we got to Japan, the weather was almost like being in Denver! Katherine, Dennis O'Hanlon and I performed for children and families all over Japan, on the island of Guam, and on Kwajalien Atoll in the South Pacific. We had a great time! Our audiences really appreciated us traveling all that way to be with them, and it was good to learn a little about the "military" culture. I tried sushi (for the 1st time), Japanese curry (excellent), a purple Japanese ice cream made with sweet potatoes (delish!), and was totally blown away by the beauty of the South Pacific! I could feel God's power in the ocean as we sailed near Kwajalien, very close to what I've felt backpacking in the mountains here in Colorado. It was a great experience working with Armed Forces Entertainment, and of course Dennis and Katherine! I hope we do it again!

They sure have small vans in Japan!
Small cars too!

Nothing like the tropics!
Sea turtle grubbin' in Kwajalien!
Nothing like a South Pacific paradise!
